PDF to Word

Get the words out of a PDF and into a .docx you can edit in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice. Paragraphs, headings and bold text are rebuilt from the page; each PDF page starts a new page.

This gives you the text, not the layout: pictures, columns and tables are not rebuilt. A scanned PDF is pictures of words rather than words, so it has no text to give. Some older Indian-language PDFs use fonts that store letters in a private code; their text comes out garbled in every converter, not only this one.
